“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26)

God didn't just make us to live; He created us to be like Him. In the first chapter of the book of Genesis, “the creation chapter,” God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light; what power there is in such a small word. He goes on with a series of “Let’s” until he created the earth and everything that is within it. In Genesis 1:26-27, the Bible states that God created male and female in His image and likeness, giving them the power to create, with the word, just as God has. Let's create by simply speaking, "Let there be _____ in our lives." Let there be peace, good health, joy, family, love, prosperity, vitality, spirit, harmony, purpose, wisdom, and growth in our lives.

God doesn't react to situations, He creates them and so should we. We should create our situations wisely and create our responses divinely. We are creators! We create our experiences; we create the story we tell of our lives. We don't just live we create our living daily. We make an active choice to produce fruit that imitates Christ. It has been said that there is no need to be a leader if you cannot duplicate yourself. God is our Leader. He created and duplicated Himself in us...so we are creators. We rule our thoughts; we have dominion over our actions. We create our responses divinely. We create what energy we allow into our spirits, thus we create the space around us. We create joy in our lives, and not wait for it to happen. We’re not just living life; we create our lives wisely.

What will you create in your life today?

  1. God is merciful, God is good.

God and I have a little joke going on between the two of us. I always thought that I could not memorize verses and their addresses. I truly convinced myself that I could not do this one thing. Sometimes his greatness is in the small things.

As my memorized list of verses continues to grow I see God smile. All things are truly possible with God if you set your heart on doing his will. He will do this to his glory and in the beauty of his love.

Isa. 50:4 The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary....

In my head and in my heart is God's word...and it feels so good.
