31 Days of Prayer & Praise
October 1, 2011 – October 31, 2011

Prayer – petition, request, hymn, intercession, or supplication offered to God
Praise – to express extreme admiration, adoration, and thanks to God

When merged, prayer and praise cultivate a powerful connection with God. With so much tragedy going on in the world, the negatives portrayed in the media, and the hurts of life, we sometimes find it easier to magnify our problems rather than our praise. We encourage you to take this 31-day journey with us as we strive to transform our minds daily according to Romans 12:2.

The focus for the month of October is to bring us closer to God through our prayers, and develop a freer and more expressive outlet of praise to Him. When we begin to understand the magnitude of things we can praise God for, we find ourselves with a more positive mindset. As we read in James 4:8-9, let us draw closer to God’s presence, be purified by His word, and start laughing our mourning away.

This is not a 31-day challenge, but a 31-day communion with God and fellowship with others! The goal is simply to read God’s Word for understanding and application. A world of difference can be made when we become hearers AND doers of God’s Word (James 1:22)!

31 Days of Prayer and Praise here we come!

*You will receive the outline of scriptures by September 30, 2011 so you can begin preparing your heart and mind for this wonderful journey. Feel free to print it out and share it with others*
