THE TALK

“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)

When was the last time you had “the talk.” We’re not referring to the daily chatter at the workplace, the occasional hello to the neighbor, or the reminiscing on old times with your girlfriends. When was the last time you had a sincere talk with the Lord? So many times we forget the importance of prayer, the power of prayer, and the need for prayer in our everyday lives.

It may seem more convenient to just chat with a friend about what’s going on in your life rather than talking to God about it. Although He knows everything about you, He still wants to hear from you. He wants to hear about your desires, thoughts, and aspirations straight from your mouth; He wants to be the one you call on when things are smooth or when they seem to get rough; He ultimately wants to talk with you. As referenced in Isaiah 65:24, God will answer before you even call and will hear before you speak. The question is will you? Will you make time to talk to God today?

Let’s make our talk matter. Here’s how: Let prayer take the place of complaining. Let prayer take the place of gossip. Let prayer take the place of negativity. Let prayer take the place of worry. Let prayer take the place of uncertainty. Let prayer take the place of _____ (you fill in the blank).

This is your Midweek P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens)! Jesus is waiting patiently to intercede on your behalf.

Scriptures to reflect on:

Psalm 86:6
Mark 11:24
1 Timothy 2:8

  3. I was singing this song over the week-end 'Let us have a little talk with Jesus, tell Him all about our troubles, He will hear our faintest cry and He will answer by and by.....', and today you posted about "The Talk", awesome. I am loving this and, as usual loving the ministry. Stay blessed while you continue to bless others.
