In The Loop

Hi Friends,

We’re elated that you are a part of the Sisters With A Purpose ministry. If you have just signed up to receive our weekly devotionals, we say welcome and we hope you’ll stay and grow with us. For those sisters who have traveled this road with us since our launch in August, from the bottom of our hearts we say thank you. We pray for each and every person that God brings to our paths through this ministry. The participation, prayers, and encouragement we have received from each of you in just a short few months humble us. We see God working through us and we give Him all the glory.

This message is simply to keep you posted with what will be taking place over the next few months. We’ve just finished up our second mini devotional series, Unfortunate Fortune. We dug into 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 to help us cultivate a more spiritual outlook to some of life’s ugly challenges. The mini-devotional series that preceded this one, was It’s Not Personal, It’s Purposed. We used an array of scriptures to help us understand our God given purpose, discover our calling, prepare our minds to work, and to give God complete control. We started that series first to help you understand that the direction and focus of this ministry is to show women how to live in their God given purpose. If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy in these devotional series, please take some time over the next few months to engage in some in-depth learning.

You may ask, why are we sharing this information? We want you to know and see what God can do. He gave us the vision for this ministry over 6 years ago, and after just two months, He has used this ministry to write two devotional series, share fifteen midweek motivators, and put together a 31-day scripture led activity to increase our praise and prayer to Him. We are evidence of what God can do through us!

So what’s next? For the months of November & December, we will take a break from the mini-devotional series and continue to write Midweek motivators. We will be spending this time in prayer and deliberation to seek God’s guidance for this ministry. We will also be finishing up our 9-week devotional book that we hope each of you will enjoy and take part in. The book encompasses ridding ourselves of the chains of satan to live in our God given freedom. It is our goal to have the book released by the early part of 2012. This has been quite a journey, so we ask you to continue to pray for us as well. The Midweek motivators for November will be a little different. They will be more personal. Melanie & Shanita will let you into their lives to share with you some of their struggles, delights, and why they have a love for Christ like never before. Prayerfully you’ll realize that we’re just humans too, striving to make heaven our home.

We still want to engage with you on a daily basis. We have a fast growing Facebook page for those of you who are social media friendly where you can receive daily encouragement from us, as well as others, who choose to share in this ministry. We can be reached by email, and welcome your prayer requests, comments, questions, or words of encouragement. You can always go to any of our blog posts and correspond with us there as well. If you don’t know yet, we just want to hear from you!

Just for clarity's sake, we want you to know that we are a women’s ministry. We are members of the Lord’s church, but we’re not a religious institution. We are not preachers, we are daughters of God who love Him and will not compromise His word. We connect online and in person. In 2012, it is our hope to have study groups in Charlotte, NC and also start telephone bible studies. These are just more ways that we can continue to grow, fellowship, and expand the borders of His kingdom. There are souls to be saved and we believe all things are possible with God!

Thank You and continue to Grow and Share with S.W.A.P. Ministries!
