Mountain Moving Monday: Power

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20)

Word Study: Power

The original meaning of power is taken from the Greek word Doonamis, which means force, ability, an abundance of might, strength, and wonderful works.

Let’s look at the word power in the scripture above to see how it applies to our lives.

God has already placed within us the power to move mountains. Sometimes we look at how frail we are physically; or the fact that we don’t know much biblically, and assume that we don’t have enough power to defeat our foes, enough power to push aside mountains, or enough power to triumph over our trials. This is all a trick of the enemy.

Power is not physical it’s spiritual. Once you are in Christ, God places His powerful Spirit within you. It’s not your physical self that overcomes, it’s the power planted in you by the Almighty that pushes your difficulties out of the way. There’s a power in you ready to move mountains. Are you ready?

Dear Lord, we praise you for your strength. We honor you for your ability. We thank you for your Power! We thank you Almighty God, for Jesus and the amazing strength He had to endure the cross. He not only moved the mountain of death, He defeated it; and we can defeat our mountains too! Lord, help us to realize that it is not of our own might that we can move mountains, but it is the power that came from you that moves us to accomplish great things. Continue using us Father to move mountains out of our lives that cloud our view of you. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

How will you use power to move mountains today?

    Good Morning,

How great to be at the beginning of yet another new week.
Today I am going to exercise my power of choice. I am going to make sure that I think before I speak. May God place a gaurd before my mouth and let it be Him speaking through me.
    Have a blessed Monday.
    God Bless
