“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NIV)

A Broken Blessing

Have you ever felt unusable? What about unworthy of God’s love and attention? Do you ever have thoughts that your past is just too bad to be forgiven or you are just too broken to be used by God to serve? Well, you are not alone. Many times we too have been guilty of allowing our minds to become the devil’s playground, believing that we’re just not good enough to be important to God.

Today, we want to encourage you to accept that your past is behind you, because Jesus nailed it to the cross when He gave His life for you. We want you to realize that God uses broken people to bless people. He can take you right in the middle of your mess and use you to minister to someone else. Remember the woman at the well who had 5 husbands; did Jesus not use her to go tell others of the good news, the living water?

Satan attacks when we get caught up in our circumstances, our pity parties, or our seats of woe. Don’t let him use you. The enemy wants to rob you of the peace you deserve by constantly sending reminders of the “used to be” or the “if you had done it this way” mentality. Silence him with the word, guard your heart with the word, and renew your significance with the word.

Don’t believe the lies of being unworthy, the Lord sent His best just for you. Don’t dare believe for one second that you are alone when He has promised you over and over that He will always be there. You may be feeling broken, abused, lost, cursed, and torn, but God can use you to bless, appreciate, love, comfort, and teach another who may be feeling the same way. We encourage you today, to lose yourself to God so that He can use you for His good!
