YOU ARE FORGIVEN

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." (Hebrews 8:12)

What is this passage teaching me about how God sees me?

  1. I'm in awe of just how much God loves us. He is the ultimate example of second chances. No matter what I have done in my past, God wipes it all away and starts me off fresh. I have no reason to feel guilty. God loves a repentant heart.

    1. Jean, isn't it good to know that God doesn't see us in our sinful state, but rather in a redeemed forgiven state! So thankful that God wipes it clean and allows us to start fresh with new mercy every morning! So many chances He's given us...we should feel more than worthy that if we mess up we can repent and He'll is faithful and just to forgive us!

  2. Through Christ's death, burial and resurrection, my sins have been forgiven. I"ve been washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, and God has not only forgiven me, but has forgotten all that I have done or will do, never to remember them again.

  3. He sees us as His children: Romans 8:16,17 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

  4. (from Melanie) God sees me as forgiven, not bound in sin. He sees me as a child that He's had mercy on even though I may have been and sometimes now act unrighteously. I'm thankful for forgiveness and wiping away of my iniquities. That's a blessing...I myself try to not remember the things I've done wrong, yet sometimes those same sins find themselves right back at the forefront of my thoughts, however, no one else, BUT THE LORD, can truly forgive and forget and not hold my past against me!
