YOU ARE COMPLETE IN HIM

"For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified." (Hebrews 10:14)

What is being spoken to me about worth?

  1. It is a wonderful gift to know that God is completing the work that He began in me. It has been a very long arduous road but I have held to this promise regardless of my feelings or circumstances and I am finally starting to see the fruits of His work in my life by the way I am treating, seeing and feeling about others.

    1. Amen Vickie, what an awesome testimony and thanks for sharing that here with us! It's always great to see God working things out in our lives and holding on to His promises no matter what we go through. A wonderful gift indeed to know that He is always with us!

  2. (from Melanie) This passage is telling me that Christ sacrificed himself and His one time offering of himself was for me to be forever complete in Him. I do not have to continually go through a priest (who had to often offer sacrifices for sin) or go through another means to ask for forgiveness; I can go straight to God through Jesus. I'm a worthy daughter of God, because in Christ, I have nothing to fear or worry about. Through baptism into Christ, I am cleansed and sanctified! My daily sacrifice back to the Lord shows Him my thanks and appreciation.

  3. (from Shanita) I really enjoy scriptures that lead me to digging deeper into scripture, and today's passage was one of them. If you're anything like me, you probably asked "now what does this have to do with worth?" This is what my study lead me to understand.

The one offering = Jesus Christ
Hath perfected forever = Jesus Christ dying on the cross was the last sacrifice that was needed in order to restore the relationship between God and man
Them that are sanctified = those whose sins have been forgiven (Hebrews 10:10,29), those who have obedient to the gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and have been sanctified through the truth (John 17:17-19)

To me this scripture speaks volumes regarding worth! 1) Christ's sacrifice was enough! 2) If I am in Christ I have the same inheritance as Christ, Ephesians 1:10-11, 3) Because of Jesus, I now have a relationship with God. Without the blood of Christ, this would not have been made possible. I am so thankful to have been obedient to the truth, and now are among the sanctified IN CHRIST!
