"Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the people!" (1 Chronicles 16:8)

Maya Angelou once stated, “There is no agony like bearing an untold story inside of you.” How true of a statement that is. Sometimes we can go years without sharing the good that God has done for us. Not because we love God any less or don’t trust others, sometimes it’s a mere uncertainty of where to begin.

God has delivered you from sin, from hurt, from wrongs, and one way to show the world your thanks is by documenting your deliverance. There’s a story in you, but you have to get the story out of you. Don’t hold in the testimony; “make known His deeds among the people.” If you've made it from hurt to healing, then you must “make known His deeds among the people.”

We "make known" by sharing, being in fellowship with one another, being in each other's company. How can we share if we only talk to each other once a week or once every blue moon? We must have some form of communication with one another to proclaim God's goodness in spiritual unison (Hebrews 3:13).

To make it easier to testify of God’s presence and grace in your life, we urge you to document (in writing or recording) your testimony. It’s okay if you’re not ready to swap with everyone; however, we still suggest you write it down, so that you get it out of your spirit. Holding it in will only make your spirit heavier.

So, grab a journal, electronic tablet/notebook, or tape recorder and document your story. Begin by asking yourself, what has God done for me lately? What did He deliver me from yesterday, two days ago, a year ago?

Your story, (the story of God involved in your life), swapped with other women in this ministry, can bring healing and freedom to your life. Don’t you want that for yourself? For others? To make God proud? If you realize you’re afraid to speak your testimony, then just document it first!

Begin by documenting how God has come through for you, regardless of how big or small the deliverance. He could have delivered you from a tire blowout or being mentally stressed out, however, just document it!

Go ahead, it’s time to tell your story…unashamed! Your deliverance may very well help someone else get over. So, let’s get documenting! Let’s get swapping!

Scriptures to Reflect On:

Psalm 9:10
Psalm 34:17
Psalm 145:18-19

"Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Revelation 12:10-11)
