Sprinkled. Poured. Receive. Immersion. Fire.

There are so many ideas floating around about the purpose and intent of baptism. Through our next mini-devotional series, into Christ, we will take a trip through God's word to see what He has to say about baptism.

The only way a person can get into Christ is by being immersed completely in water, the process of baptism. There are no walls to jump over, no money to pay, no prayers to recite, no hills to climb; Jesus even said Himself; no one comes to the Father, except through me; so we must get into Christ in order to get to the Father, in order to get our blessings. No shortcuts!

Who and what are you into

Fashion? Gardening? Your Husband? Your children? Technology? Cooking? News? Health? Yourself? Do the things and people that you’re into, lead you to the Lord or somewhere else? Maybe you’ve already given your life to the Lord, but you’re still not sure why or if your baptism even put you into Christ. This series will help answer those questions and much more!

The preposition 'into' indicates that there has been a change in relationship. What is your relationship with Christ looking like? If you're not baptized into Christ, it indicates you're still outside of Him. So, let’s discuss, pray, and read God’s word together and take steps to get into Christ.

Beginning Monday, March 11, 2013, our scriptural theme will be taken from Galatians 3:27 and Romans 6:3.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”

Our prayer is that this mini-devotional series will nullify the many misconceptions about baptism and show how baptism, through the power of God, saves us and puts us into Christ!

Will you join us? Share this message with everyone you know, so we can all grow together in the Lord!
