30 Days of Waiting and Patience: Day 23

Monday, September 23, 2013

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
(Colossians 3:12-13, NIV)

Question Reflection:

Is there something that I’m dealing with that requires me to be patient?

  1. This is a very powerful scripture. It tells us about Forgiveness. The scripture tells us that if anyone does wrong against us we should be willing to forgive, because our Heavenly Father has forgiven us. We must clothe ourselves with humility, compassion, kindness, gentleness, and patience. Our God is a merciful God and worthy to praised. If our Father has forgiven us, then we as Christians should be able to forgive our brother/sister whom we see everyday.

  2. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, Matthew 6:14. Forgiveness may not come easy all the time, but if we stay focused on the Word of God and not man everything shall work out for the good. Christlike is how we should live. If our Father is merciful with us, we should be with others. We should show compassion, Love, Patience, and Humility toward one another, we must remember nobody is perfect except God. I have struggled with forgiveness, but thanks to God, I've learned to forgive people who have done me wrong, but I've learned the lessoned out of the situation. Through His Word and His Guidance and Patience, we shall all be Blessed. There is no Love like God's Love.
