In the Loop: In the Meantime

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

Why should I wait on God, when I already know what I want?” “People keep telling me to be patient, but hey, my biological clock is ticking and we know time waits for nobody!” “I've been stuck in this dead end job for years, is there any sign of relief? Sometimes we have our eyes set, our hearts ready, and our plan in order, but jump ahead of God! Perhaps you’ve found yourself like us when we knew we didn’t wait for the Spirit’s leading and ended up paying for it with heartache, disappointment, and pain. Don't you just hate when that happens?

We were impatient and waiting wasn’t an option. Have you ever felt that way or wondered what to do in your season of waiting?

If so, we encourage you to join us for our mini-devotional series, In The Meantime! Starting October 7, 2013 we will dig into Romans 12:12 and focus on the importance and blessing of waiting and patience and what to do In the Meantime when we’re waiting on God to answer our prayers. Here is the weekly breakdown of lessons:

October 7: In the Meantime (Romans 12:12)
October 14: Rejoicing in Hope
October 21: Patient in Tribulation
October 28: Continuing Instant in Prayer

Make this study personal! Think of 1-3 areas in your life where you struggle with being patient. Maybe it’s on your job, in your relationships, looking for a church home, starting a new business, or dealing with a family member or friend. It’s always easiest to correct a problem in our lives when we're not afraid to be transparent and pinpoint our specific struggles.

This online study will show us what we didn’t do in our times of haste, yet could have done during those lingering seasons of waiting. Are you ready to dig in?

Swap this message with a friend and then let’s get ready to grow together in the Lord! ☺
