Freedom Friday

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven; whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.” (Psalm 32:1-2)

Have you ever asked God to forgive you of something that you knew in your heart you’d probably turn around and do again? You don’t have to raise your hands or shout it out loud, but we’ve been there and all we can say is thank God for His mercy, His grace, and His forgiveness! Our spirits just weren't in the right place.

There are moments in life where our spirits are filled with deceit and instead of condemning ourselves we want to call your minds to freedom.

Are you a free spirit?

Are you a spirit free from...two-facedness? Artificial repentance? Betraying God? Lying?

If we believe we are forgiven then we don’t have to live in insincerity, we can live with a free spirit. When we believe we are forgiven, we don’t take our liberty in Christ to sin willfully because we feel we can turn around and ask God’s forgiveness.

Confessing sin to deliberately engage again is a sign of a spirit of deceit.
It's counterfeit confession.

This Freedom Friday we are freeing ourselves from swindling God! We are freeing ourselves from living, praying, and worshiping dishonestly! We are freeing ourselves from being conniving! God sees whether we’re full of Him or full of sin, so let’s leave the attitude of deceit that was in the old man buried. Be a free spirit today!

What will you free yourself from to live free in Him?
