Testimony Tuesday

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

And ye shall be hated of all men for my sake, but he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved.” (Mark 13:13)

A test without endurance is just a thought. We may think we can get through this bad divorce, or the betrayal of a friend, or the pain of illness, but without actually enduring the test, we can’t testify of strength, or forgiveness, or even healing.

To endure means to undergo or persevere. With every test comes the undergoing of and persevering through something that wants to pull us in a direction other than up.

When we give up on the test, we often fall, we fail, we complain, we hurt, we regret, yet when we endure we take pride in finishing; we take pride in what we’ve learned about ourselves; we take pride in the process that got us to the end.

We endure for the testimony.

The test may look like holding your tongue from going off on your boss for constantly being rude. It may look like pushing past tiredness to testify of God’s power; it may look like undergoing betrayal to testify of God’s loyalty; it may even look like persevering through other’s jealousy, to testify of joy regardless of what people think of you.

Do you remember the woman that gave up? Of course not; no one remembers nor celebrates that person...we celebrate the testimony of the one who endured to the end! If you’ve endured anything at all, you have a testimony to share!

How will you testify of enduring today?
