In The Loop: Believest Thou Are Healed

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)

How often do you find yourself just glossing over your prayers? What about forgetting to pray? How about treating prayer time like an inconvenience or just rendering up prayers that lack substance?

We know that feeling and maybe like us you've asked the questions "why am I still faced with the same wounds, why do the same hurts scrape and cause me pain every day, and why am I not healed of the spiritual infirmity of my soul?"

Do we truly believe? Or do we just cross our fingers, wincing for the answer that will hurt the least?

Are we truly praying that we will be healed of our spiritual diseases or just asking God to give us whatever we want? The scripture reminds us to pray one for another that we might be healed. Are we praying for one another or do we just talk to God about ourselves? Our Father doesn’t want to hear just any kind of prayer from us. He desires honest faith, deep felt emotions, earnest belief and total dependency on Him to answer. Our impersonal, nonchalant prayers just won’t cut it! The word says the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person is what will avail. Do your prayers ignite a fire in you! Are they genuine or routine? The prayers of those whom believe wholeheartedly will be answered!

No matter if we fumble over our prayers sometimes, if our heart is in the right place and if we submit in total obedience to the Master’s Will, we find healing for our souls. We don’t submit that our prayer will have the lame walking right away, or the blind opening their eyes, nor do we disregard that God can still work miracles today.

We do believe, however, that a true believer and worshipper of God, who has been redeemed and justified by the blood of Christ, has the earnest power of the Holy Spirit working within making supplications on his or her behalf to the Father. (Romans 8:26-27) Through Jesus and the working of the Spirit, our prayers are answered!

Will you join us beginning August 5, 2014, for Testimony Tuesdays and Freedom Fridays as we make our appeals to Jehovah Rapha, our God who Heals? We know that you or someone you know wants to be healed of self-righteousness, doubt, unrighteousness, fear, pride, and so many other diseases. It is not us who pray who retrieves the answers we desire, it’s through and to whom we pray that we receive the healing we need. We believe that God still heals today! Do you?

Believest Thou Are Healed? Well join us so we can all grow together in the Lord? ☺
