Truth Thursday

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” (Romans 2:5-6, NIV)

Many of us are ungrateful, we lie, we steal, we backbite, and we live unrighteous lives. We rebel against God, but demand His rewards. We live as if we have all the time in the world to get our lives right with God, when in actuality, we don’t. Our lives are but a vapor and tomorrow is not promised.

Let’s Speak our Truth: If we speak our truth, we think we’re entitled to certain privileges and afforded time because we’re God’s children. If we speak our truth, we’ve all abused God’s grace by saying, “I’m just trying to get myself together first before accepting the Lord.” If we speak our truth we would rather hold on to our pain, bitterness, and wounds because we feel it gives us a sense of control over something.

Let’s See THE Truth: THE Truth sees our true character. THE Truth measures our hearts and knows whether we’ve forgiven or if we’re still bitter. THE Truth knows when we pretend to repent so that we can reap His blessings. THE Truth knew that He had to die in order that we might live in Him, and THE Truth watches as we live for ourselves because we’re too afraid to spiritually die and live for Him.

Let’s Be the Truth: To Be the Truth, we must hate the things we used to do that separated us from God. Let's Be the Truth and release our impure motives of selfish gain and rebuke the devil for trying to implant deceit and hate into our hearts. Let's Be the Truth and become vulnerable to God and allow Him to change us. Let's Be the Truth and repent (change our wicked ways), confess Christ as God's son, and be baptized for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38)!

The day of God’s wrath above refers to the day that God will judge all people according to their works, where we all will have to give an account of everything we did or didn’t do: including being unrepentant (Romans 13:11-12). We will not be able to escape nor talk our way out of God’s final judgment. So,

It’s Time to Speak our Truth and break through holding grudges, harboring bitterness, not forgiving others, and making excuses to get out of serving God.
It’s Time to See THE Truth who broke through unrepentance by sealing salvation for us through His death on the cross. We will have to break through fear and choose the Father!
It’s Time to Be the Truth and break through by denying ourselves and taking up our cross to follow Him, daily!

We would like to thank each of you who has joined us on this journey of TRUTH and breaking through bitterness! Our prayer is that you have identified the hurts in your life that you've been holding on to and that you have found God to be faithful to remove any bitterness from your heart so that you can get to blessedness. We will continue praying with you. If you have any questions about anything shared, please email us at and we'll do our best to give you a Bible answer to your Bible question.☺
