31 Days of Walking with the Spirit: Day 14

Thursday, January 14, 2016

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
(John 14:16-18, 26)

  1. We need comfort in so many areas of our lives: when grieving, when transitioning to new stages of life, when we're ill, lonely, discouraged, or when we desire spiritual understanding. When we seek God's help He provides a Comforter who will bring us peace and clarity. Who doesn't need to be taught something every now and again, or need help remembering the words of Jesus? When Jesus ascended, the Spirit descended...to aid us as we walk this Christian journey. The Holy Spirit's purpose is to help us. To simply help us. We're so thankful He's here for us.
