"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

  1. It's no question or coincidence that "one" is mentioned 7 times in this passage. The number 7 is a spiritual number of divine completion, and this passage exemplifies the complete and supreme oneness of God, Jesus, and the Spirit and anything tied to Him. There is one body (this is synonymous with church) which we're added to after baptism. One Spirit of God who guides and influences our way! One major hope of heaven! One Lord, whom we endearingly call, Jesus! One faith or doctrine to follow; one baptism of immersion in water, which leads to salvation. One Father and God who is the all knowing, awesome Master that we serve. There is total completeness in one. There is no confusion with one. In Him, we are one!
