Praying in the Spirit

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."
(John 14:27, NASB)

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
(Psalm 34:18, NASB)

To our sister who is brokenhearted and feeling lost, please read this prayer:

Dear God, I am here again trying my best to wipe away the tears that flow from my heart, but sometimes not even from my eyes. I'm hiding that I'm hurting inside and realize that You are the only one who knows and understands. Because of this Lord, I ask that You fill me with Your infallible and unquenchable love. Mend my heart, that is broken, God.

I thought I could be strong and handle it, but honestly, I am hurting and need You. I need deliverance. I need peace. When I can't find the words, I can only be hopeful that the Holy Spirit lifts up my unspoken prayers in groanings which You fully understand. I know then, I will receive the relief and peace I'm crying out for.

God, help me to realize that my worth is not defined by someone else's acceptance of me. Refresh my memory, dear Father, reminding me that I am whole, I am cherished, I am useful, and that I have purpose. Remind me that I have direction and vision, and that I am beautiful. Remind me that I was chosen day one in eternity, before the foundation of the world. Remind me that the Spirit leads me, Jesus is my way and example, and You are the lamp unto my feet, and the light unto my path. I am not lost, I am seeking. I am not brokenhearted, I am being molded. I am learning each moment to be free in You, dear God, and I pray right now that I am reassured, comforted, and healed because You Son Jesus died so that it could be so. Thank you God for seeing me

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
